Rail ombudsman scheme – Transport Focus statement

Today the regulator has set out its plans to make it mandatory for rail operators to join the new ombudsman scheme.
Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith said:
“Passengers will welcome the consistency that comes with all train companies becoming members of the new Rail Ombudsman scheme. The rail network needs to work as just that with no gaps in consumer protection coverage.”
