Rail strike suspension: Transport Focus statement

01 June 2015

Welcoming news that the planned industrial action on the rail network has been suspended, David Sidebottom, passenger director at the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“Passengers will be relieved that the planned industrial action has been suspended. The continuing uncertainty for passengers about potential future strike action means it is passengers who suffer most.
“Many had already been inconvenienced and had to seek advice about their plans. This reinforces what we have long said about the need for accurate, reliable, timely information.”
