Rail ticketing – Transport Focus response to ORR review

05 October 2016

Today the regulator (Office of Rail and Road) published its review of the rail retail market, which focused on how tickets are sold to passengers.

Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“We know that passengers want a fare system that is easier to understand and offers best value, without them having to seek out ‘secret’ deals. They will welcome any signs that this is happening. It is important that any future changes keep a good range of choice while minimising complexity.”
