ScotRail offer extra compensation for ‘unacceptable’ service

Commenting on the announcement of extra compensation from ScotRail, David Sidebottom Transport Focus director, said:

“Following months of unacceptable disruption ScotRail season ticket holders will welcome this long overdue compensation.

“It’s now important that ScotRail actively encourage passengers to claim and make it both quick and easy to do so. We encourage any passenger delayed to claim compensation and send a clear message to the rail industry and make sure your voice is heard.

“We now want to know when regular passengers who don’t use a season ticket, such as part-time workers, will find out what compensation they will be offered in recognition of the impact on their lives.”
