Southeastern’s new franchise – Passenger Focus response

Responding to news that the train operating company, Southeastern, has been awarded a new franchise, David Sidebottom, Passenger Focus director, said:
“Southeastern will need to work extra hard during this new franchise to build trust and confidence amongst its passengers. This means delivering early and real passenger benefits, unlocking investment, and building firm foundations for the next franchise.
“In our last survey 72 per cent of Southeastern’s passengers were satisfied overall with their service, with only 30 per cent satisfied with value for money.”
