Strikes on Northern, Merseyrail and Southern railways – Transport Focus response

Responding to the announcement of further strikes by the RMT union on Northern, Merseyrail and Southern railways Transport Focus director David Sidebottom, said

“Yet more strikes are being dumped on passengers who may have to cancel plans or endure miserable journeys.”

“It is vital that all parties in this dispute get back around the table to resolve this matter without bringing the railway to a standstill.”

“Passengers need plenty of advance information about the strikes, what services will be running to allow them to plan their journeys during this uncertain time. They also need to know how they can claim compensation.”
