‘Train companies’ misleading compensation claims hit buffers’ – Transport Focus responds

Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“The more passengers are aware of – and exercise – their rights, the better. We know that many of them don’t claim through existing schemes due to lack of awareness or clunky systems.
“Alongside this news, we welcome the spread of Delay Repay schemes and changes that make claiming easier. We have long campaigned for barriers to be removed so that passengers find it easier to claim what is owed to them.”
