Train timetable changes
20 May 2018
More than four million trains have been rescheduled today in the largest timetable shakeup for decades.
Anthony Smith, chief executive of the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“Commuters travelling on Monday morning will hope the timetable revolution that started on Sunday will deliver and that teething problems will have been ironed out.
“Many passengers will have a greater choice of services with more seats, however there will also be some who lose out.
“Those who haven’t seen the warnings will get a surprise when they go for their usual train.
“Having plenty of staff on the ground from the start and during the initial transition, when changes bed down, will be critical.”
