New staff in the West Midlands 

Meet Geoff, our new stakeholder manager based in the West Midlands. 

Geoff joined Transport Focus earlier this year, and is based in central Birmingham. His role covers representing users of strategic roads, bus, coach and tram but is mostly focused on rail. He acts as a critical friend to West Midlands Railway and London Northwestern. 

Geoff helped launch our Give Bus A Go campaign in the West Midlands, which was a perfect introduction to the local bus network. On rail, Geoff has worked in a number of areas that impact on local customers and passengers –  helping develop an extensive mystery shopping programme, community rail, accessibility and on long-term projects under the Grand Rail Collaboration umbrella. 

With significant improvements to infrastructure on the horizon, and extensions to the Metro system ahead of the Coventry City of Culture and Commonwealth Games, it’s an exciting time to be working and making a difference for transport users in and around the West Midlands.
