Providing essential feedback
This month, Transport Focus working in partnership with Great Western Railway (GWR) and Network Rail as part of an initiative to help improve the passenger experience when the train service is disrupted.
Our staff were out in force observing at Bristol Temple Meads and London Paddington stations, and we were monitoring the information provided to passengers online and via social media.
We were also observing how disruption is managed within Western Route Control in Swindon, including the production of passenger information.
In January, we will provide feedback to both GWR and Network Rail, and will work with them to help the railway find ways to deliver a better experience for passengers when things go wrong.
