What you think of the roads

Our Strategic Roads User Survey (SRUS) is back. It measures satisfaction with journeys on the motorways and major ‘A’ roads managed by Highways England.  You can see the results for April 2021 in our data hub.

SRUS had to be suspended in March last year because of Covid-19 as face-to-face interviewing inside homes wouldn’t have been safe. We’ve since devised and tested a different way to reach drivers – we write to a representative sample and ask them to complete the SRUS questionnaire online.

We can now see what drivers think of England’s roads which have been a lifeline to many over this past year.
