Transport User Voice – March 2022 – Sorting road signs

24 February 2022

A big thank you!

Thank you to everyone who reported a damaged or confusing sign through our Sort My Sign campaign.

Since the launch of Sort My Sign in February 2020, we have received 316 reports from road users who have identified signs that are either damaged or confusing on National Highways’ strategic road network, made up of England’s motorways and A-roads.

From today, 24 February, we will be moving into a new phase of the campaign where we concentrate further on securing lasting change for road users.

Our work to date has shone a light on the processes and policies within National Highways, relating to signs. We will continue to press National Highways to resolve the individual problems reported already and carry on our work to secure changes in policies so these things are not a problem in the future.

Later in 2022, we will publish a short document setting out the successes of the campaign.

In the meantime, if you missed it before, have a look at our interim report.
