Our Board meeting in Birmingham

There’s a busy agenda when the Transport Focus Board hosts its next board meeting in public in Birmingham next month. With a focus on the West Midlands, it provides an opportunity to discuss significant upcoming changes to public transport and roads across the region.  

Our Board members will be joined by Alex Robertson, our chief executive who will be sharing the new Business Plan which will take the organisation through to 2026.  

A host of national, regional and industry figures will also be speaking including: 

  • Anne Shaw the Executive director of Transport for West Midlands will provide some insight into the current transport challenges and opportunities in the West Midlands. 
  • David Sidebottom will be joined by Martin Colmey, Operations Director at Network Rail, Jonny Wiseman, Customer experience director, West Midlands Trains, and Tori Lazenby, Midlands Region director, National Highways to discuss how can the user experience be improved among those caught up in disruption and how can users be better informed?  
  • Finally, Natasha Grice will lead a discussion on the issues of antisocial behaviours and travel safety. She will be joined by Councillor Liz Clements from Birmingham City Council, Paul Franks, Security and Policing manager, West Midlands Combined Authority and Adam Rideout from National Express Bus.
