Transport User Voice November 2024 – Helping South Western Trains passengers

01 November 2024

Passenger Survey

Did you own a Travelcard and travelled on South Western services between  October 2015 and August 2017?

If so, you might be owed money back for those journeys.

In the September edition of Transport User Voice, we highlighted a new compensation plan for South West Train passengers following a legal challenge made against several train companies over ‘boundary zone’ fares.

A claim was brought on behalf of passengers who were charged twice for their rail journeys. The claim has been run by Charles Lyndon.

If you travelled on Stagecoach South West Trains between October 2015 and August 2017 and believe you were affected, you may be able to claim compensation of £100 or more, and up to £30 without any proof of purchase.

Stagecoach South Western Trains agreed to a £25 million settlement earlier this year. Over one million people are eligible for compensation.

The legal team managing the compensation claim is now looking for more input via a short survey from passengers who may have been affected. If you think you may have been affected, please complete the survey here.
