Transport User Voice – October 2018 – Meeting the challenges for transport users in the north
28 September 2018
Evening reception with Andy Burnham
Transport Focus is pleased to announce that Andy Burnham, Mayor of Greater Manchester, will be speaking at our evening reception in Manchester on 12 November.
Following months of disruption for Northern and TransPennine Express passengers this will be a chance to discuss the current challenges facing transport users in the north a few days before the North of England Transport Summit.
This event is also an opportunity to meet our chair, members of our Board, chief executive and senior staff, to learn more about our work on behalf of rail, bus, tram and road users.
If you would like further details on how you can attend, please email rsvp@transportfocus.org.uk.
On 12 and 13 November, our Board will meet in public in Manchester. We will hear from David Brown (managing director of Northern), Barry White (chief Exec of Transport for the North), Simon Warburton (transport strategy director of Transport for Greater Manchester), Aline Frantzen (managing director of Metrolink), Elisabeth Tasker (managing director of Stagecoach Manchester), and Alan Shepherd (Regional Director of Highways England).
You are more than welcome to join us for this too – please email rsvp@transportfocus.org.uk to confirm.
