Transport User Voice – Road surfacing: what do road users want?
25 October 2017
What do road users want from road surfaces on motorways and major ‘A’ roads?
Transport Focus and Highways England will be launching research on just that at Highways UK in Birmingham on 8 November 2017.
Transport Focus research in 2015 showed that surface quality was road users’ top priority for improvement to England’s motorways and major ‘A’ roads, and by some margin. But what wasn’t clear was exactly which aspects of the surface users wanted to be improved and why.
That’s why we’ve carried out new research to understand what exactly road users want from road surfaces to help inform the next Road Investment Strategy.
If you would like to hear more then come along to out launch in in the Carillion theatre in the NEC.
Priorities for the second Road Investment Strategy
Transport Focus chief executive Anthony Smith will also be speaking on the first day of Highways UK as part of a panel discussion on the progress on the first Road Investment Strategy and emerging priorities for the second Road Investment Strategy.
Transport Focus staff will be available to discuss our research on both days of the conference on our stand.
