Transport User Voice – November 2016 – Tram survey reaches out to passengers

26 October 2016

We’re out and about talking to tram passengers across England and Scotland at the moment.

Our researchers are carrying out the next round of the Tram Passenger Survey (TPS) on six tram networks.

If you are approached, do please take the opportunity to join in!

And if you are approached on more than one journey, that’s OK – we’d like to hear about each of the journeys, as each can be a different experience.

Now in its fourth year, TPS is the established independent measure of passenger satisfaction for the UK tram industry outside of London. The results give us the evidence we need to drive improvements on behalf of passengers.

It’s an exciting time for the tram industry. Many of the networks involved in the study have either recently expanded, are in the process of doing so, or have plans to do so in the near future.

Our role is to ensure that the passenger voice is heard throughout these developments and the 2016 survey will provide valuable feedback for this.

Passengers can complete the questionnaire either on paper or online. The survey work runs over three months, from September to November, in Manchester, Sheffield, the West Midlands, Nottingham, Blackpool and Edinburgh. We’ll publish the full results in spring 2017.
