WATCH NOW: the transport user Covid debate

19 November 2020

Here’s your chance to watch the transport user Covid debate, exploring what transport users need to help them travel with confidence now and in the future.

This online event also considered how services can be ‘built back better’ with users’ needs at the heart.

Baroness Vere, parliamentary under-secretary of state for transport, was the keynote speaker. Councillor Liam Robinson, transport portfolio holder at Liverpool City Region Combined Authority also appeared.

Current and former public transport users shared their experiences of travel and aspirations for the future. Our panel of industry experts discussed the issues and potential solutions.

The panel included:

  • Mary Hewitt – strategy and policy director at Arriva UK Trains
  • Christine McGlasson, Managing Director at Xplore Dundee
  • Councillor Waseem Zaffar MBE – cabinet member for transport and environment at Birmingham City Council
  • Victoria Garcia – accessibility and communities manager at Brighton & Hove Buses.
