Watchdog welcomes new Wales and borders franchise

David Sidebottom, passenger director at Transport Focus, said:
“Passengers in Wales tell us that their priorities are reliable services on which they can get a seat and are good value for money.
“It is essential that the new franchise puts passengers’ interest at the heart, so it’s good to see the confirmation of new trains, additional services and increased capacity.
In our last survey 79 per cent of Wales and Border’s passengers were satisfied overall with their service, with only 54 per cent satisfied with value for money.
