West Coast franchise consultation – Transport Focus response
10 May 2016
Responding to the consultation announcement David Sidebottom, passenger director of the independent watchdog Transport Focus, said:
“Passengers who use the West Coast line will be pleased to see this process back on track. We have listened carefully to passengers to understand their experiences and key priorities for the future of the service, so we will share this information with the Department for Transport as part of its consultation.
“We found passengers are generally happy with value for money, and the reliability and punctuality of services. They want to see these good points at least maintained, and preferably improved. We have also produced a set of priorities and will be highlighting these to the DfT.”
