West Yorkshire bus franchising announcement – Transport Focus comment

Commenting on the announcement by the West Yorkshire Combined Authority regarding its intention to introduce a bus franchising model, Transport Focus Director David Sidebottom, said:

“Passengers want bus services they can rely on to get where they need to be.  

They have told us in our recent Your Bus Journey survey that punctuality and value for money are the most important to them. 

The decision by West Yorkshire today needs to focus on these priorities to deliver more reliable services, better fares and routes across the region.”
