Bus Passenger Survey methodological overview – autumn 2017 wave

12 July 2018

In 2017, we consulted nearly 175,000 people to produce the Bus Passenger Survey. The survey is an objective measure of bus passengers’ experience on individual journeys, and covers the bus stop environment, punctuality, ‘on bus’ comfort, and the standards of the bus driver, together with overall journey satisfaction and value for money ratings. The survey has a well-established methodology.

This document outlines in more detail the methodology used in the survey.
