Letter to East Midlands trains objecting to ticket office changes – Melton Mobray

East Midlands Trains has proposed to reduce the opening hours of the booking office at Melton Mowbray on Mondays to Saturdays and to close it all day on Sundays. Under Schedule 17 of the Ticketing and Settlement Agreement, the train operator must advertise its intentions over a three-week period at that station to enable users to contact Passenger focus to register their objection. Passenger Focus then has a week in which to consider any objections and to make its response to the operator. This letter sets out our view on the proposals.
