National Rail Passenger Survey (NRPS) – Autumn 2015 – Performance and satisfaction by train company

27 January 2016

These charts show passenger satisfaction with punctuality.

They compare passenger satisfaction with punctuality with the actual punctuality of each train company. Actual performance is recorded in two forms: the Public Performance Measure (PPM) which allows trains to be classed as on-time if they are within five minutes (for shorter distances) or 10 minutes (for longer distances) of their scheduled arrival time; and ‘right-time’ which classes a train as on-time if it arrives within one minute of the scheduled time.
