Ticket queuing times at major rail stations

27 May 2008

The ever-growing number of people using rail means that the ease of purchasing a ticket is increasingly becoming a concern for passengers. The Autumn 2007 National Passenger Survey, found that almost one in six rated ticket-buying facilities as poor. Most passengers have to pay a penalty if they fail to buy a ticket before boarding the train: this emphasises the need for train companies to sell tickets without delaying
passengers.
