Highways England has consulted on its proposed approach to reducing the congestion caused to road users when there is disruption to cross-Channel ferries or the Channel Tunnel. You can read the company’s document, Solutions to Operation Stack: Managing freight traffic in Kent, here.

Operation Stack involves parking lorries on the M20 while they wait for a ferry or slot through the tunnel.
