Bus Passenger Survey methodological overview – autumn 2016 wave

04 December 2017

In 2016, we consulted more than 160,000 people to produce the Bus Passenger Survey. The survey is an objective measure of bus passengers’ experience on individual journeys, and covers the bus stop environment, punctuality, ‘on bus’ comfort, and the standards of the bus driver, together with overall journey satisfaction and value for money ratings. The survey has a well-established methodology.

This document outlines in more detail the methodology used in the survey.
