Tooting to Birmingham and back. Two Tubes and train all work well – boringly reliable just as you want.

However, the usual ticket line kerfuffle – people booked on train 20 minutes later cannot understand why they cannot board empty earlier one, someone lost reservation but has ticket, people using Virgin’s charity discounts…
