How do we encourage people to start taking the bus? Reading Buses boss Martijn Gilbert is hoping to tempt Reading Uni students onto the 21a route by introducing four refurbished buses. They’re not the usual revamps though.

Students can expect to find a ‘plush lounge area’ on the upper deck complete with all sorts of entertainment to keep their minds off looming deadlines.

Passengers will be able to play video games in the ‘gaming zone’ or borrow books from the micro library. For music lovers, there’s a juke box at the back that can be connected to via Bluetooth or cable so they can play whatever they want. If that wasn’t enough there’s also a Lego play table.
