How easy are ticket barriers to use?

This is a subject that arouses strong feelings. But what do passengers think? We asked passengers about ticket barriers in the latest rail National Passenger Survey and 86 per cent were satisfied with  five per cent dissatisfied.

Yes, relatively small sample sizes in some cases. Most passengers not having too many problems it seems. But there is something about the barriers at Norwich, Ashford International and Leeds that seem to be causing problems. How the barriers are laid out and set up is crucial to the smooth flow of passengers – we will see what it is at these three places that are causing some problems.
