Jolly seat cover?

Sitting facing backwards (which I don’t like!) on a London bus staring at the seat opposite.

Started to decipher the logo repeated many times on the all blue seat cover, sometimes printed backwards and other times at odd angles. ‘ELBG’ – what is that?

After much musing, concluded it must be East London Bus Garage.

Very self referential – why not put that energy into designing a more jolly seat cover?
