Surprised at just how tatty some of Southern’s trains are now looking. The longer distance trains (I still think of them as new, but they a few years old now) look like they need a re-fresh. The older suburban trains had a very unsatisfactory refurbishment some years ago (look at the same trains on South West Trains – a much better refurbishment) and get a real hammering. Looks like it’s time for a spring clean.
