16 February 2021

Tuesday 16 February 2021 2pm – 3.15pm

Transport Focus’s Board will be meeting in public to discuss our work for passengers in Scotland and what is needed for a fairer, greener transport system.

This online meeting will look at putting users’ needs at the heart of all modes of transport, with a specific look at both young people and those in transport poverty and restoring overall confidence to travel.

We are pleased to confirm Michael Matheson MSP, Cabinet Secretary for Transport, Infrastructure and Connectivity, Scottish Government, as the keynote speaker.

We will also hear from Louise Macdonald, Young Scot Chief Executive and Neil Cowan, The Poverty Alliance Senior Policy and Parliamentary Officer.

Our panel of experts will discuss the issues for transport across Scotland and meeting the challenges ahead in these difficult times:

  • Alex Hynes, Managing Director, Scotland’s Railway
  • Heather Cowan, Head of Transport Strategy and Integration, Transport Scotland
  • Julianne Robertson, Chair, Transform Scotland
  • Paul White, Director, CPT Scotland.

The panel will be taking questions on the day. If you would like to register for the event, and/or submit a question, please email robert.samson@transportfocus.org.uk
