Buses on Highway England’s roads: meeting the needs of passengers and bus companies

19 December 2019

Where bus services run on England’s motorways and major ‘A’ roads, both the passengers and the bus company are Highways England’s customers. This study looks at Bristol and Brighton, where buses use the M32 and A27 respectively, to understand how Highways England can better meet the needs of these road users.

Transport Focus spoke to bus passengers and local bus companies to understand what they think about bus services, existing bus priority measures and what future improvements would help.
