Motivations and barriers to bus usage

This report focuses on the new reality of bus usage post-covid and what challenges and opportunities this poses to the industry.

Transport Focus undertook research in March 2022 and again in March 2023 to to understand how many of the habits and attitudes which emerged during the pandemic have remained, what impact the state of the economy and the cost of living crisis have had on them, and how far the changes made to bus services have themselves affected bus use.
