Personal security on trains – what passengers think

21 April 2020

In August 2019 we asked our Transport User Panel about how they felt about personal security during their last train journey. We used the responses of the 2568 people who made their last journey in the last three months for the report below.

Most panellists reported feeling safe travelling by train with 88 per cent saying that they only occasionally or never feel unsafe. Comments suggest having staff present is highly valued.
