Motorway services – meeting summer demand and keeping road users informed

With restrictions eased, journeys by road are increasing. A boom in domestic travel is likely as people holiday in the UK. Motorway services will play a vital role, as they have done throughout the pandemic, in ensuring road users can make a safe and comfortable journey.
We wrote to motorway service operators Extra, Moto, Roadchef, Welcome Break and Westmorland. We asked them about their plans to cope with the likely increase in visitors to their sites and how they intend to provide information about how busy sites will be.
