National Assembly committee programme – Transport Focus response

The National Assembly for Wales is setting the work programme for scrutiny committees for the Fifth Assembly (2016 – 2021). Transport Focus has provided input to the priorities for the Economy, Infrastructure and Skills Committee.

Our response raises a number of priority areas for consideration, which focus on outputs for passengers:

• Wales and Borders rail franchise
• Bus service quality standards
• Transport integration and co-ordination.

It is crucial that passengers’ views are considered when decisions are being made about their services, so we welcome the opportunity to contribute to this process on their behalf and look forward to working with the Committee as the work programme develops.
