Service disruption during construction of the new Old Oak Common station – correspondence

01 July 2023

The new station at Old Oak Common in west London, serving trains on the Great Western route to and from Paddington and on the new high speed (HS2) line, will be a crucial interchange for tomorrow’s passengers.  However, building the new station will be disruptive to today’s Elizabeth line, Great Western Railway and Heathrow Express passengers.

In May 2023 Transport Focus wrote to the Department for Transport highlighting the need for disruption during construction of the new station to be kept to a minimum.
