The South Eastern franchise, currently operated by Govia as Southeastern, ends in December 2018. The Department for Transport is running a competition to find an operator for the next franchise.
As part of the consultation process, we have carried out research to understand passengers’ current experiences and explore their needs and hopes for future South Eastern services.
We carried out focus group research and found that passengers placed a strong emphasis on the need to focus on getting the basics right, before considering additional areas that would make travelling on the South Eastern franchise a good experience.
