Southend Victoria engineering works in May 2019 – passenger research

Transport Focus conducted online research during the closure on the Greater Anglia Southend line over May 2019 half-term to determine passenger awareness and understanding of the benefits the works would bring.

The research showed that despite a tight timescale the Greater Anglia and Network Rail joint communication plan was successful with high levels of awareness among passengers. The research also provided Greater Anglia with valuable information to help with planning future communications around prospective blockades on the network.
