Transport Focus objects to ticket office closure at Newport, Essex

In 2019 train company Greater Anglia consulted on its proposal to close the ticket office at Newport station in Essex, between Bishops Stortford and Cambridge.
Following the consultation Transport Focus objected to the closure on the grounds that, according to Government rules, sufficient passengers were using Newport ticket office to justify keeping it open.
