Welsh Government bus legislation proposals – Transport Focus Wales response

Transport Focus Wales has responded to the Welsh Government consultation on proposals for new legislation that would introduce bus franchising across Wales: One network, one timetable, one ticket.

Our response sets out key points for meeting the needs of users and potential users:

• ensure priorities for encouraging greater bus use are at the heart
• understand and address barriers to bus use
• take advantage of opportunities for innovation – such as fflecsi demand responsive services
• track the impact of policies and interventions with passenger satisfaction surveys
• develop a passengers’ charter for Wales and assess performance against commitments.
