What rail passengers need during extreme heat

The extreme heat experiences of passengers in summer 2022 were unprecedented – with temperatures not previously experienced in the UK leading to chaos on the railway.

The impacts of the climate emergency are increasing and these challenges will be experienced by passengers more often. This report provides a range of recommendations following Transport Focus’s work with passengers as part of the national Extreme Heat Task Force.
